The girl group NewJeans is set to return this May. The five-member group will release double singles in South Korea and Japan on May 24 and June 21, respectively, followed by a fan meeting at Tokyo Dome on June 26 and 27, its agency ADOR said.
The single to be released in Korea will feature four tracks, including the title track "How Sweet," "Bubble Gum," and the instrumental versions of each. "Bubble Gum" is set to grace advertisements and TV programs in Japan next month, showcasing the group's expanding influence.
The group will officially debut in Japan with the release of another double single on June 21. It will consist of the title track "Supernatural," the song "Right Now" and their instrumental versions, totaling four tracks. "Right Now" will be introduced ahead of the album release as an advertisement song in both Korea and Japan this May.
"NewJeans plans to engage in music broadcast activities in both Korea and Japan, preparing to present as many performances as possible to the Bunnies," ADOR said.
Bunnies is the group's official fandom.
"Since its comeback in July last year with the second EP 'Get Up,' NewJeans has had a whirlwind of a time," ADOR said. "Juggling a variety of engagements and taking a brief break for recharging, NewJeans is now fully prepared to surprise fans once again with new music and performances. We ask for your continued support and anticipation for NewJeans' journey in 2024."
Marking its official entry into the Japanese music scene, the group will perform at the Tokyo Dome, hosting their second fan meeting, Bunnies Camp 2024 Tokyo Dome, on June 26 and 27. This event signifies the act's debut solo performance in Japan, setting an unprecedented milestone of entering the dome within just one year and 11 months as a foreign artist.
NewJeans also plans to release a new album in the latter half of the year and kick off a world tour in 2025. "Starting with this large-scale fan meeting, we aim to lay the groundwork for the world tour scheduled for 2025. We are doing our utmost to present a new album and better-quality performances to our fans in the second half of the year," ADOR said.
