K-pop boy group ZEROBASEONE poses during a media showcase for its fourth EP, "Cinema Paradise," in Seoul, Monday. Yonhap By Pyo Kyung-min K-pop phenomenon ZEROBASEONE (ZB1) has released its fourth mini album, "CINEMA PARADISE," Monday, making a quick return to the music scene in just three months after its previous release. The heart-stealing boy band is now bound to make new waves with tracks that promise to be another hit. Formed last year through Mnet's survival audition show "Boys Planet," ZB1 consists of nine selected members — Kim Ji-woong, Zhang Hao, Sung Han-bin, Seok Matthew, Kim Tae-rae, Ricky, Kim Gyu-vin, Park Gun-wook and Han Yu-jin. The group's inception was entirely determined by global audiences' votes during the show. Proving its global appeal, ZB1 became the first K-pop group to achieve million-seller status with each of its first three albums, all within a day of their release — an impressive feat for a rookie group. Yonhap Continuing the success streak, the group's newly released album, "CINEMA PARADISE," aims to captivate listeners more than ever before. To celebrate the release, ZB1 members gathered Monday at a press event at BlueSquare Mastercard Hall in Seoul's Yongsan District. "I'm happy to be able to return to ZEROSE (ZB1's official fandom) for the fourth time after a year together," Kim Gyu-vin said. Teasing the album's contents, Kim Ji-woong added, "We've included ZB1's refreshing vibes as well as a movie-like storyline in this album, so please look forward to it." The album's title track, "GOOD SO BAD," is an electronic synth-pop song that expresses ZB1's signature positive energy through lyrics about a love they don't want to miss. The song was written by global hitmaker KENZIE, known for megahits like Girls' Generation's debut single "Into the New World," RIIZE's "Memories" and aespa's "Supernova." Reflecting on the collaboration with KENZIE, Kim Tae-rae said, "She also directed us and her attention to detail was incredible. She gave us practical advice on how we can grow in the future, which was really helpful." Sung Han-bin, the group's leader, also found working with Kim helpful and rewarding. "I was so eager to learn that I even wrote down every piece of her advice on a sticky note and stuck it on my desk. She said my voice matched the song well, which motivated me even more during the recording. It was such a fun process that I didn't feel tired at all. I hope we can continue this good relationship in the future," he said. "It was such an honor. I even met him on set and introduced myself. It was a very meaningful experience," Zhang Hao said of working with Yoo, expressing his admiration for the veteran actor. "CINEMA PARADISE" includes a total of seven tracks, each boasting an emotional, cinematic narrative. Alongside the title track, the album features "KILL THE ROMEO," "The Sea (ZB1 Remake)," "Insomnia," "Road Movie," "Eternity" and the Korean version of the group's Japanese debut song "YURA YURA." I always remind myself not to lose our original mindset. With every comeback, we aim to show how we've grown, and I believe there's still a lot of room for growth. We're constantly striving to improve." "Compared to a year ago, I think our greatest growth has been in our teamwork," Park added. Looking ahead, Sung noted, "I hope we can continue to share great songs with our unique voices. We're also planning to continue with tours and other activities, and I hope all the members can stay healthy and avoid injuries. Please continue to support us."
